Roxane Gay is an author and cultural critic whose work has garnered international acclaim for its reflective, no-holds-barred exploration of feminism and social criticism. With a deft eye on modern culture, she critiques its ebb and flow with both wit and ferocity.
Bad Feminist, Gay’s 2014 collection of essays exploring modern feminism was called one of the best books of the year by NPR, and Salon declared it “trailblazing.” Her debut novel, An Untamed State (2014), was long listed for the Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize. Her upcoming book Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body is an examination of body image.
