She's With Me

A Feminist Survival Guide to Seattle

When Women and Immigrant Workers Rise Up: Labor Justice Panel

When: Thursday, September 29 at 6 PM – 8 PM in PDT
Where: 321 16th Ave S, Seattle
Cost: FREE; please RSVP here

The CLI is a program that trains leaders of color and leaders from low income communities to learn the “rules of the game” that prepare them to advance a racial equity agenda on strategic boards and commissions at the city and county level. The CLI Issue Panel Series, which were open to the public, proved to be a very successful way of engaging deeply with a topic and connecting emerging leaders with experts.

September’s CLI Issue Panel Series will be on the topic of Labor Justice. This event is a chance to learn from and engage in discussion with experienced organizers who have been building power with workers of color by moving legislation, services, and campaigns to benefit all families.

This event is free to attend. For childcare requests or any other questions, please email Myani at myani@pugetsoundsage.org.

About sheswithmeseattle

She's With Me is the brain child of three feminists who got tired of emailing each other every time they caught wind of a womanist event, so they created a separate space to house their feminist calendar. The benefits would be twofold: fewer emails cluttering up their inboxes, and more people learning about Seattle's growing feminist community. She's With Me aims to be a feminist hub, where all the goings on of different organizations are collected in one place. Our plans for the site include reviews/write-ups of events, interviews with local feminist activists, news updates, and essays, poetry, and art by feminists. The Fourth Wave of Feminism is here, and She's With Me will be the feminist scrap book documenting our herstory as it unfolds.
