Where: Town Hall, Great Hall 1119 Eighth Avenue
Cost: $25.00, buy tickets here

Wonder of Women proudly presents a story telling event experience featuring live painting, poetry, song and dance. Imagine listening to the heart of a woman’s story while it is being painted right before your eyes! These stories will be accompanied by music selections that speak life, love and hope to the story. No victims here, but victors of some of life’s most difficult tests revealing the irrefutable power of love, light and liberation.

Debrena Jackson Gandy & Veronica Very will lead the story telling journey through the arts of spoken words by Leija Farr. Seattle’s pioneering Youth Poet Laureate will share a powerful new piece for women that ignites the mind and spirit. Vocalists TaylorHyll, Michelle Lang and Robin and Alexandria Henderson will sing story inspired songs. Jade Solomon Curtis will perform a breathtaking dance piece entitled Emancipation. Visual Artists Michelle Browder, Montgomery, Alabama, Carla Keaton, Phoenix, Arizona and Kay Moynihan with produce the masterpieces entitled: Love, Light & Liberation. There will be a special tribute to women by author and educator Logic Amen and singer Matt Brown. These men will pay homage and speak truth to the power of a woman.

A celebratory wine and art reception will follow with live music and art auction. There are limited opportunities to Paint & Sip with featured artist Kay Moynihan. Catch up with friends and make a toast to a fabulous evening.

This event inaugurates Wonder of Women’s story telling movement created to inspire women and girls to find their voice, stand in their truth and celebrate their wonder.

About sheswithmeseattle

She's With Me is the brain child of three feminists who got tired of emailing each other every time they caught wind of a womanist event, so they created a separate space to house their feminist calendar. The benefits would be twofold: fewer emails cluttering up their inboxes, and more people learning about Seattle's growing feminist community. She's With Me aims to be a feminist hub, where all the goings on of different organizations are collected in one place. Our plans for the site include reviews/write-ups of events, interviews with local feminist activists, news updates, and essays, poetry, and art by feminists. The Fourth Wave of Feminism is here, and She's With Me will be the feminist scrap book documenting our herstory as it unfolds.
