She's With Me

A Feminist Survival Guide to Seattle

Feminist Drinking Club

When: Monday, October 12th at 6PM
Where: Highline Bar, 210 Broadway E

Hey all you patriarchy smashers! This FDC monthly gathering is falling on Indigenous People’s Day so let’s take this chance to show some solidarity with Seattle’s First People! We can do this is many ways. Let’s remind ourselves or learn more about pre-settler culture and history. Let’s share and amplify the voices of native women, artists, and poets. And if possible, let’s donate our extra dough to support The WomenSpirit Coalition (aka Washington State Native American Coalition Against Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault). If you can’t come drink with us, consider donating anyhow, but if you can come, just bring your extra cash, your change jar, or a check and we’ll consolidate and send in one big donation on behalf of FDC Seattle. Fuck Christopher Columbus!

About sheswithmeseattle

She's With Me is the brain child of three feminists who got tired of emailing each other every time they caught wind of a womanist event, so they created a separate space to house their feminist calendar. The benefits would be twofold: fewer emails cluttering up their inboxes, and more people learning about Seattle's growing feminist community. She's With Me aims to be a feminist hub, where all the goings on of different organizations are collected in one place. Our plans for the site include reviews/write-ups of events, interviews with local feminist activists, news updates, and essays, poetry, and art by feminists. The Fourth Wave of Feminism is here, and She's With Me will be the feminist scrap book documenting our herstory as it unfolds.
