Girlvolution is a revolution, led by girls who are part of Powerful Voices‘ ActiveVistas Employment Program. Thirteen ActiveVistas will lead workshops and interactive sessions to teach and problem-solve around issues including mental illness, bullying, sexism in the media, addiction, racism, police brutality and more.
The day also includes a photography exhibit and performances by youth from Youth in Focus, Youth Speaks Seattle, Young Women Empowered, and Powerful Voices alumna. To celebrate and close out the day, Women of Color for Systemic Change, will facilitate a mini-workshop around activism and organizing. There will be time for networking, a resource fair and community-building along with free breakfast and lunch.
