A Feminist Survival Guide to Seattle
When: Wednesday, April 15th, 5-7PM
Where: University of Washington, Denny Hall, Room 401
Seattle Black Feminists have been plotting for a while about building a space for Black women who are in graduate school, and now their plan has come to fruition! Join fellow Black women grad students in the Seattle area to discuss the idea of Black women feeling like ‘impostors’ in the world of academia, and how to push back against this myth. Space(s for Black Women in Graduate School) is an effort to centralize and examine the experiences of Black women grad students and create a space to encourage and support Black women making their way through the Ivory Tower (white and phallic, hello!).
Light snacks and new friends provided.
