She's With Me

A Feminist Survival Guide to Seattle

Chocolate for Choice

When: Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 6:30 PM
Where: Fisher Pavilion, Seattle Center, 305 Harrison Street

After 24 years, it’s a classic Seattle tradition. On Wednesday, March 25 NARAL Pro-Choice Washington will host the dessert smack-down of the year. Over 50 of the region’s foremost chocolatiers, bakers, and candy-makers donate their finest confections and compete for top honors before a panel of celebrity judges. Hundreds of participants get to sample it all! Chocolate for Choice participants aren’t simply chocolate fiends out for a selfish sugar rush. They are Pro-Choice Heroes, fundraising to defend and advance reproductive rights in Washington State.

To earn a ticket to the event you must raise at least $40 for NARAL. Here’s how:
First, register here.
Raise $40 or more and you earn a ticket to the event (unlimited sampling and all the chocolate you can handle!).
Raise $250 or more and you’ll receive a 1/2 pound box to take home samples of your favorites!
Raise $500 or more and you earn a 1 pound carry-out box to fill with your favorites.*
The TOP individual fundraiser as of 8 pm on March 25th will take home their choice of premiere cakes from the ‘visuals’ competition.
HOT TIP: you can raise money by donating to your own page!

About sheswithmeseattle

She's With Me is the brain child of three feminists who got tired of emailing each other every time they caught wind of a womanist event, so they created a separate space to house their feminist calendar. The benefits would be twofold: fewer emails cluttering up their inboxes, and more people learning about Seattle's growing feminist community. She's With Me aims to be a feminist hub, where all the goings on of different organizations are collected in one place. Our plans for the site include reviews/write-ups of events, interviews with local feminist activists, news updates, and essays, poetry, and art by feminists. The Fourth Wave of Feminism is here, and She's With Me will be the feminist scrap book documenting our herstory as it unfolds.
