A Feminist Survival Guide to Seattle

Girl Justice is an interactive one-day workshop hosted and facilitated by Powerful Voices who has been serving adolescent female identified youth since 1995. Their gender-specific and strengths-based work is rooted in social justice. This training will strengthen your girl justice analysis as workshop attendees:
*Explore their own relationships to privilege and oppression
*Deconstruct messages embedded in the socialization of girls in American culture
*Strengthen their analysis of the intersections of oppressions girls face (including adultism)
*Practice strength-based approaches
*Become better adult allies to youth
WHO should attend:
Juvenile justice staff
Male-identified allies needed and welcome
*Curriculum packet with 7 lesson plans on community building, identity, values, challenging gender boxes, positive girl culture, medial literacy, and healthy relationships!
* Snacks and drinks
NOTE: Fee is non-refundable upon purchase, but can be used as credit toward a future training.
