Nicholas Kristof (and partner, Sheryl WuDunn, who has co-authored books with him and won a Pulitzer with Kristof, though she seems to get less credit than her husband… hmm…) is a journalist, author, New York Times op-ed columnist and blogger, and winner of two Pulitzer Prizes. He is most famous for his work covering issues of gender, global health, and poverty in the developing world.

Executive Director of the Women’s Funding Alliance, Liz Vivian, will join Kristof on stage for an engaging conversation about an array of topics including some of the most pressing issues facing women worldwide and Kristof’s and WuDunn’s newest book, A Path Appears: Transforming Lives, Creating Opportunity.

Sponsored by the Women’s Funding Alliance. More info about the event.

About sheswithmeseattle

She's With Me is the brain child of three feminists who got tired of emailing each other every time they caught wind of a womanist event, so they created a separate space to house their feminist calendar. The benefits would be twofold: fewer emails cluttering up their inboxes, and more people learning about Seattle's growing feminist community. She's With Me aims to be a feminist hub, where all the goings on of different organizations are collected in one place. Our plans for the site include reviews/write-ups of events, interviews with local feminist activists, news updates, and essays, poetry, and art by feminists. The Fourth Wave of Feminism is here, and She's With Me will be the feminist scrap book documenting our herstory as it unfolds.
