She's With Me

A Feminist Survival Guide to Seattle

Benefit for Left Bank Books

Left Bank Books – the anarchist collective bookstore specializing in all things radical – needs help raising funds to pay for their February rent. Besides being a fixture for the radical community in Seattle since 1973, LBB offers consignment, a Books to Prisoners program, tons of events and lots of volunteer opportunities. Help make sure they stick around for a long, long time by heading over to a benefit show this Sunday (Feb. 3rd) at The Kraken. The show starts around 8 p.m. and bands like Smooth Sailing, Jefferson Death Star and others are still jumping on the bill. If you can’t make it, you can also send a donation to their Paypal at

When: 8 p.m. Sunday

Where: The Kraken Bar & Lounge, 5257 University Way N.E., Seattle

About sheswithmeseattle

She's With Me is the brain child of three feminists who got tired of emailing each other every time they caught wind of a womanist event, so they created a separate space to house their feminist calendar. The benefits would be twofold: fewer emails cluttering up their inboxes, and more people learning about Seattle's growing feminist community. She's With Me aims to be a feminist hub, where all the goings on of different organizations are collected in one place. Our plans for the site include reviews/write-ups of events, interviews with local feminist activists, news updates, and essays, poetry, and art by feminists. The Fourth Wave of Feminism is here, and She's With Me will be the feminist scrap book documenting our herstory as it unfolds.
