A Feminist Survival Guide to Seattle
SAM is the place to be this fall! Let’s join them in saluting pioneering filmmaker Agnes Varda in conjunction with Elles: Women Artists from the Centre Pompidou, Paris (see here for details.). Born in 1928, Varda, a philosophy student and gifted still photographer, became the first Frenchwoman to make a feature motion picture. Fascinated by people’s inner lives, and the natural landscapes and cities they inhabit, Varda crafted visually stunning, intimate portraits imbued with the French New Wave spirit of spontaneous creativity.
Philosophy! French New Wave! Adorable bob! I will be there–would love for you to join!
